How do I join a committee?

 

Reach out to a Committee Chair to ask to join! If there is no chair for a committee and you are interested in that position or in helping with the work done by that committee, please contact us.

How do I become an officer? 

 

Elections are each spring. For more information about the election process, take a look at our bylaws or contact us with questions.

How do I join the Lamar PTO?

How much does it cost to become a member?

 

Membership for the 2023-24 school year is FREE! However, if you can donate, it will be greatly appreciated!

​

What is the time commitment?

 

The time devoted to the PTO is up to you. The PTO appreciates members who can participate at all levels. If you are interested in a leadership position, let us know!

​

Do I have to volunteer if I become a member?

 

No! We love our volunteers but understand that not everyone has the time. Joining can also help you discover when fun events happen or volunteer opportunities that may work for you.

​

If I was a member last school year, am I already a member for this year?

 

No. Sign up again for this year. And if you haven’t already, please fill out a new CISD Volunteer Application so you can volunteer at the school during the 2023-24 school year.

​

When is the membership deadline?

 

There is no deadline, but the sooner you sign up, the sooner you receive our membership notifications.

SPONSORSHIP QUESTIONS

I own a business. Can it be a sponsor?

 

Contact us, and we will let you know if your business can be a 2023-24 sponsor!

Can individuals and families be sponsors?

 

Yes, both individuals and families can serve as sponsors! Contact us to find out more.

Do you accept non-sponsorship donations?

 

Yes! We accept in-kind and non-sponsorship monetary donations. If you have additional questions, please contact us to discuss.

If I was a sponsor last school year, am I already a sponsor for this year?

 

No, but we would love to have you back as a sponsor for 2023-24. Please let us know if you are interested in being a returning sponsor.

SPIRIT WEAR & YEARBOOK QUESTIONS

How can I purchase spirit wear?

 

Visit our spirit wear store when it opens to place an order!

​

Can I buy spirit wear when the spirit wear store is closed?

 

Maybe. Spirit wear is only available for a limited time at the beginning of each year. This allows us to keep the cost of each item lower. However, if you are interested in purchasing spirit wear at another time, please let us know, and we will check to see if we have enough interest to “reopen” the spirit wear store.

When can I buy a yearbook?

 

The yearbooks are available for ordering the all school year on the Tree Ring website. A promotional price is usually available at the beginning of every year.

​

When will I get my yearbook?

 

There is no set delivery date, but yearbooks are usually distributed to students at the end of each school year.
