carnival
Our annual spring carnival is one of our biggest events of the year and needs more volunteers than any other event! We'll need help with games, food, decorations and so much more. If you'd like to help, please contact us at carnival@lamarpto.com.
yearbook
The PTO creates and sells the yearbook each year. We're looking for volunteers to chair the committee, help with creating the book, take pictures at events, etc. No experience is needed and most of the work can be completed at home on your own time!
decorations
Help is always needed with decorations! The decorating committee changes the large cafeteria bulletin boards a few times each year, provides all of the decor for carnival, and decorates for other events throughout the year. Much of the work can be done on your own time at home. Join us for decorating:
Teacher and Staff Luncheon
We are so thankful for our amazing Lamar staff!
The PTO provides a lunch the week before the Thanksgiving break for the teachers and staff. We ask for parents to either donate home baked desserts or store-bought desserts.

enrichment nights
Volunteers are needed to assemble student gifts and decorate bulletin boards for the fall and spring enrichment nights.
teacher appreciation
Teacher Appreciation is a week long event in May and the PTO does something special for the teachers each day. Volunteers are needed to assemble gifts, set up / cleanup, etc.
cultural events
The PTO typically hosts an event for Hispanic Heritage month and assistance is needed with setup, serving food, etc.
fundraisers
The PTO holds two major fundraisers each year: Read-A-Thon in the fall and Boosterthon in the spring. Volunteers are needed to distribute prizes, mark student laps during the fun run, etc.
family events
Volunteers are needed at various events hosted by Lamar such as field day as well as at events hosted by PTO such as Donuts with Grown-Ups.
sponsorships
Sponsorships from local businesses allow us to host some of our fantastic events such as carnival. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to reach out to local businesses.
